She lives in Massachusetts.

Her story:

“I worked for Stride Rite for 25 years, fitting children’s shoes and providing excellent customer service. In March 2020, I had a large aneurysm, ultimately stroke that left me with aphasia. The woman who talked to people everyday for work couldn’t speak!

Fast forward to my new normal. I do many classes like Sargent College at Boston University, Marjorie Nicholas Aphasia Center at Mass General Hospital, and Aphasia Forward. After my stroke, it takes me more time to do things like cook, clean, and read but I persevere. I can’t stop and won’t stop getting better. ”
