Freddie Vargas
Freddie is an ambassador for Aphasia Forward.
He lives in New York.
His story:
“I developed aphasia 4 years ago. I had an infection on my leg that traveled to my head. It affected my right eye and my ability to speak. I have to repeat myself many times in conversation. I stopped writing in script; now I write in my journal in long hand.
My first stroke group was at Boston University and that is where I met Cindy Lam.”
